Coffee and Chocolate - Most Perfect Combination in the World

The most exciting snack that coffee lovers can have is chocolate to go with your coffee! Incredible combination of sweet and bitterly. And the best thing is that during the day it is always time for this small pleasure.
May be some of you would say that this combination is not healthy and can lead to gaining weight, but here are some nice facts about how this magic combination reflects on people's health.

A recent research showed that chocolate may slow cancer growth and could help you to live longer. The good news about chocolate comes from scientists at Georgetown University Medical Centre who found that a synthetic chemical that is similar to a compound present in cocoa beans slows the growth of colon cancer by 50 percent. Another research, this time about coffee, showed that coffee drinkers live longer than their abstaining peers.

Of course, we have to be very careful with the daily portion of consuming coffee and chocolate! Having too much of that delicious combination could be dangerous for your physical and even psychological health.
I will share with you some interesting facts about how dangerous it could be if we dramatically increase the level of caffeine in our bodies. In other words, be careful when planning your coffee breaks. Scientists found that if you have a high-stress lifestyle and a heavy caffeine habit, you could experience some nasty side-effects, for example, you could start hearing voices.

The bottom line:  Be careful when consuming the most perfect combination - Coffee and Chocolate and don't forget to enjoy it with all of your soul!

Advertising coffee

I have always been very pleased to watch coffee advertisements as they look so nice and tasty. I have done some research about coffee commercials and was amused by one of the oldest coffee advertisements.

In line with the patriarchal culture of that time, a housewife is trying to please her husband by preparing a nice cup of coffee, only to receive a negative reaction because of its bad taste. After his disappointment she shares the problem with her friend and asks for advice. The friend gives her a tip - the ''best coffee brand''. When the husband comes back home, she prepares the perfect coffee to finally satisfy him and regain the happiness in the family.

Now lets see the evolution of the level of coffee satisfaction. Or how the modern woman offers coffee and how a man reacts...

Come for coffee

Let's have a coffee! Wonderful opportunity to go out and gossip, to do some work, to cry or laugh. A coffee break is enough time to fall in love or break up with someone. A cup of coffee - just to read the news in cosy place or to have an important business meeting. It turns out that the ritual to "have a coffee" is more than sipping a glass of liquid, it turns out that the time spent for that cup of coffee can ruin your day, or fix it, it can makes your day bright, you might learn something useful or just lose a little time ..... "Let's have a coffee" has lost its literal meaning, "having a coffee" is more than just coffee, but it would not be the same without its aroma and atmosphere. It is a fact that coffee socialises people. Coffee makes people share their mood, thoughts and desires with
other people.

FAIR TRADE COFFEE

What is fair trade?

Not all trade is fair! Farmers and workers at the beginning of the chain don’t always get a fair share of the benefits of trade. Fair trade enables consumers to make this right!
The following video explains exactly what Fair trade is and how people from all around the world can help for that cause.

COFFEE CAN TELL THE FUTURE

Coffee could be magic in very different ways. Sometimes I am amazed of its power to wake me up after a long night with no sleep at all. A cup of coffee has the power to make people become friends or even enemies. Coffee is a ritual, a magic ritual.
The most mystic power of coffee is telling the future. If you are lucky to know one of these nice old ladies who have been taught from their grandmothers to 'read' the future in a cup of coffee, you are going to be surprised what a majestic experience this is. Do not miss the chance and spend half an hour to have a cup of nice Turkish coffee and to hear all about your future. ‘Reading' the future in a cup of coffee is a gift that can be transmitted from women in a family.
It could only be done with Turkish coffee using some special rituals, like turning the cup upside-down after finishing the magical drink. After several minutes spent in a friendly talk, the cup is 'ready to tell' through the 'reader' all about the main points of your future life. Have you ever tasted Turkish coffee? I once had the chance to have a real Turkish coffee in a beautiful garden, under a blossoming chery tree with a very experienced coffee-reading lady. She told me the most fascinating story I have ever heard. And this will be 'my story' that I am going to tell to my children and grandchildren as it all came true. It is, of course, about love.

There is a nice video on YouTube with information on how to make Turkish coffee, step by step. Turkish coffee is not only for future telling, it has an amazing taste!

Costa coffee - "I was made for loving you"
or "costa heads"

I am happy to share with you one of my favourite coffee brands and its new advertisement.  The campaign launches with a TV spot featuring people, including genuine Costa baristas, buried up to their necks in coffee beans, while singing along to a cover of ''Kiss'' song ''I Was Made For Loving You''.
I honestly don't like this commercial. The cover is great, but all these heads in the coffee beans..no! It is really hard to connect Costa staff's professionalism with the singing "Costa Heads". However, the message from the song is definitely attractive.

COSTA GIVES FANS THE CHANCE TO APPEAR IN ITS NEW ADVERT

Costa will turn its customers into stars. An app launches this week that will allow Costa fans to record and upload themselves singing along to the Kiss song, with winning performances featuring in the final ad. The app, available via the Costa Facebook page, or through the App Store on iTunes, means fans and baristas can join in and share with their friends.
What a good opportunity for all Costa fans! They can sing about their favourite coffee showing their love.
